Tottenham fans react on Twitter after report states lengthy Harry Kane lay-off
By Harvey Byrne
Harry Kane is set to be sidelined for up to 10 weeks with ankle ligament damage – and Tottenham fans on Twitter have seen it as an opportunity to unleash new striker signing Vincent Janssen.
Kane, 23, left White Hart Lane on crutches and with his right foot in a protective boot following Spurs’ 1-0 win over David Moyes’ team on Sunday.
The Sun have now claimed on Tuesday that the Tottenham striker will be out until late November with the injury he sustained, although the club are still waiting for scan results from Monday.
Fans on social media haven’t seen the injury to their star striker as devastating with many believing they have strength in depth to cover for Kane.
Some believe that this is now the opportunity that new £18million summer signing Janssen needed to showcase his talents in the side.

Kane’s injury was always coming sooner or later. Luckily Son has started playing well & we do have a backup in Janssen. #THFC

I understand that Kane is great, but he hasn't exactly set the world alight this season. Perfect time for Janssen to come in now IMHO. #THFC

Kane is likely to be absent for four of Tottenham’s five remaining Champions League matches as well as high profile Premier League encounters including the north London derby against Arsenal on 6 November.
The striker enjoyed another impressive campaign in front of goal last season, as he won the Golden Boot with 25 goals in the Premier League.
The proficient goal scorer started the new season slowly, but with two goals in his last two Premier League appearances it looked as though his next scoring run was just beginning before the injury.
