By Dominic Toner

Marcus Edwards was one of few positives for Tottenham’s Under-23 side on Thursday night – and the club’s supporters raved about the attacker on Twitter.

Spurs’ youth side lost 4-1 at White Hart Lane against Leicester’s Under-23s in the Premier League 2 division.

The north London club were two goals down in the 76th minute and a red card for Tom Glover allowed the Foxes to add some gloss to the scoreline.

However, Spurs did manager a consolation goal as tricky winger Edwards managed to cover a penalty after ghosting into the area and being fouled.

The proceeds from the league match were all donated to a charity being set up by the family of Ugo Ehiogu as they remember his passing.
