Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight that the club are reportedly working on a stunning triple swoop this summer.

Spurs correspondent Marc Benamram, who is a reliable source of news about the club, reported on his personal Twitter account on Friday afternoon that the north Londoners are in hot pursuit of Crystal Palace attacker Zaha and Fulham left winger Sessegnon.

Benamram claims that Tottenham are also looking to secure a “marquee signing” ahead of their move to the new White Hart Lane in August.

Spurs have been strongly linked with Ivory Coast international Zaha, 25, in recent years but he signed a new five-year deal last May and is likely to cost well in excess of £40million.

At 17, Sessegnon is eight years younger than Zaha but is a precocious talent and recently cleaned up at the Football League awards, securing the Championship player of the season award ahead of teammate Tom Cairney and Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.

Tottenham fans are satisfied that their club are reportedly working on signing such top-notch players, despite the prohibitive price tags they will come with, with the comments including “would be amazing” and “my ideal summer”.
