'The glaring weakness' - Tottenham fans react to display of 24-year-old v Arsenal
By Will Butcher
Tottenham fans were unimpressed with the performance of Ben Davies on Twitter after the left-back impressed on the flank against north London rivals Arsenal.
Wales international Davies started on the left flank once again as former Leeds star Danny Rose remains sidelined with a long-term ankle injury that has kept him sidelined since January.
The 24-year-old had come in for criticism for his display against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, as Wilfried Zaha’s pace caused the former Swansea defender a multitude of problems.
Davies struggled once again despite being in front of Spurs’ home support at White Hart Lane, as the north London rivals secured a 2-0 win in front of their home fans.
Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to Davies’ performance, with many frustrated with what they saw as the defender looked to contribute in both the attacking and defensive thirds of the pitch.

Hate to say it but Davies is the glaring weakness in our team. Even as cover for rose he's a risk. #COYS #TOTARS

I don't think Ben Davies' final ball is impressive at all. #thfc

Ben Davies keeps making terrible decisions and acting like they are someone elses fault

Dele Alli gave Spurs the lead as he capitalised on a loose ball to slide home from close range, before Harry Kane earned a penalty just minutes later. He dusted himself down to find the net from 12 yards.
Spurs next face West Ham on Friday night at the London Stadium, as they look to close the gap between themselves and league leaders Chelsea.
In other Tottenham news, West Ham co-owner David Gold has given this update on a 28-year-old star before the two sides go head to head on Friday.
