'Come to Spurs' - Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Isco display after Real Madrid thump Atletico

By Amir Mir

Isco helped Real Madrid thump their neighbours Athletico 3-0 during their Champions League semi-final clash on Tuesday night – and Tottenham fans on Twitter hailed his performance.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a stunning hat-trick to help his team take a big advantage going into next week’s second leg against their bitter rivals.

Zinedine Zidane’s side are currently the holders of the European Cup as they have a big chance of winning back-to-back crowns.

Isco played 68 minutes during the match as he dazzled the crowd with his dribbling ability and link up play with his teammates.

The 25-year-old was too hot to handle for the visitors as he produced an eye-catching display despite Ronaldo’s three goals.

He was taken off midway through the second half after he had picked up a yellow card straight after the break.

Nonetheless, the White Hart Lane faithful were pretty impressed with what they saw, with one fan urging him to come to Spurs.

However, another stated that going by his performance, Tottenham don’t have a chance in landing the Spaniard in the summer.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Over the course of the season, Isco has played 37 matches in all competitions for his side, scoring ten goals added with seven assists.

He has played four Champions League games, starting only three of those encounters as he is yet to contribute with a goal or an assist.

The versatile attacker can play a number of roles for the La Liga giants from dictating play from the middle of the park to showcasing his trickery out wide.

In other Tottenham news, this defender could be axed in two changes for the West Ham clash on Friday evening.
