Tottenham fans react on Twitter to report stating club are looking to sell Janssen
By Harvey Byrne
Tottenham are reportedly looking to sell summer striker signing Vincent Janssen – and Spurs fans on Twitter are not happy.
The Mirror reported on Friday evening that the north London club “will” cut their losses with the player they splashed out a huge £17million to sign from AZ Alkmaar in July.
The 22-year-old has so far failed to meet expectations at the club with just five goals and three assists from 31 matches in all competitions.
Additionally, only one of those strikes have not come from a penalty spot as he found the net with a cool effort in the 6-0 win over Millwall earlier in the month.
However, sections of the Tottenham fan base on social media still have faith that the young target-man can come good.

A number of supporters feel that Janssen should be given another season to prove his worth, while another stated it would be poor treatment from the club if the report is true.

With star forward Harry Kane currently injured, this is the time that Janssen will be looking to show he has what it takes at the club.
Tottenham will face Burnley next at Turf Moor after the international break and the Dutchman will be hoping to see more pitch time against the Lancashire outfit.
