'Shocking excuse for a footballer' - Tottenham fans destroy attacker after display v Hull

By Harvey Byrne

Tottenham fans on Twitter have destroyed attacker Moussa Sissoko after his performance against Hull on Sunday afternoon.

The 27-year-old France international was brought onto the pitch with 73 minutes on the clock and the scoreline stood at 5-1 to Spurs at the KCOM stadium.

The scoring was not stopped there however and during Sissoko’s 17 minutes out on the pitch the north London club managed to strike twice and earned themselves a 7-1 victory.

It was a stunning performance from all those in the Tottenham team and while some fans even praised the much maligned Sissoko, others still felt the need to criticise him.

Some on social media took to call him a “shocking excuse of a footballer,” while others told that they didn’t want to hear his and Vincent Janssen’s names in a Spurs shirt again.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Sissoko joined Tottenham from Newcastle in the summer for a huge £30million.

However, he has failed to return a single goal in any of his 34 appearances for the club, while he has only managed to provide four assists.

Fans will now be hoping that he either vastly improves in the next campaign or for him to be away from north London.
