Tottenham fans react to Vincent Janssen Twitter post ahead of Millwall clash

By Harvey Byrne

Tottenham fans on Twitter have urged Vincent Janssen to continue with his efforts after the attacker shared a message to fans looking ahead to Sunday’s Millwall clash.

The north London club are currently preparing to host the League One side on Sunday afternoon at White Hart Lane.

It presents an opportunity for some of the Spurs fringe men to see some more pitch time and one of those could be Janssen.

The 22-year-old Holland international’s last start for the club came at the beginning of January in a 2-0 FA Cup tie victory against Aston Villa.

But, there are no signs of restlessness emanating from his social media presence and the young forward shared on his personal Twitter account on Monday that he was looking ahead to the all-London cup clash.

The message provoked a high amount of support from fans on social media and large sections of the fan base have told him to keep the faith.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Janssen completed a move to Tottenham in the summer for a massive £17million from AZ Alkmaar.

There were high hopes of him once he came in, but with a return of just four penalty goals in 29 matches in all competitions he has so far unimpressed.

With three years still on his contract fans will now be hoping he can kick on and show his worth in the team.
