Tottenham fans react to Vincent Janssen Twitter post after victory v Bournemouth

By Harvey Byrne

Tottenham fans on Twitter have congratulated Vincent Janssen after the forward shared a message to fans following his goal scoring display against Bournemouth on Saturday.

The 22-year-old striker took to the White Hart Lane pitch as an 87th minute substitute with Christian Eriksen departing the field.

The match saw Spurs run out comfortable 4-0 victors and Janssen played his part by netting his side’s fourth and final goal of the Premier League encounter.

Goals elsewhere in the match came from midfielder Mousa Dembele alongside attacking duo Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.

Now, Holland international was considerably reserved on his personal Twitter account after netting his first league goal since November, sharing just two-words.

However, Tottenham fans on social media made sure they made up for their striker’s lack of celebrations with their comments for the player on his Tweet.

A number were keen to point out that the youngster deserved his goal, while others were keen to express their love for the Dutchman.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Janssen joined Tottenham in the summer and he has so far returned just two goals and two assists in 23 Premier League appearances.

He will be hoping to add to those totals before the season’s end as Spurs attempt to catch Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table.
