There have been reports that Everton are keen on a swap deal involving Ross Barkley and Moussa Sissoko, but Tottenham fans have been divided by the deal.

The Sunday People claimed on Saturday morning that Toffees boss Ronald Koeman was keen on taking the 27-year-old France international to Goodison Park in part-exchange for the out of form Barkley.

The Dutch manager was close to signing the former Newcastle attacker in the summer before Spurs came in with a last minute swoop on deadline day at a pricey £30million.

However, despite the mega fee Sissoko has so far failed to live up to the tag with just two assists from his first 14 appearances for the club.

But, fans are starting to see improvements in the player’s form and after a 33 minute cameo against Manchester United he has now split the fanbase.

Some believe on social media that the club should cut their ties with the experienced attacker, while others believe that he’s coming good and deserves more time.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Sissoko will be keen to earn some more match time over the Christmas period with clashes against Southampton, Watford and Chelsea coming up in the space of seven days.

In other Tottenham transfer news, Spurs fans have requested that the club sign this former Pochettino star.
