'Offers nothing whatsoever' - Tottenham fans urge club to offload 27-year-old flop

By Will Butcher

Tottenham fans have pleaded with their club on Twitter to offload summer signing Moussa Sissoko after a disastrous first season at White Hart Lane.

Fresh from picking up a Euro 2016 medal, the 27-year-old moved to Spurs on deadline day in the summer for a huge fee of £30million after being relegated with Newcastle.

However, the France international has failed to find the back of the net for Spurs since his move and is way down the pecking order behind Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-Min.

With the summer transfer window approaching, Italian football news outlet Calcio Mercato claim that a return to St. James’ Park is on the cards after the Toon gained promotion.

Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter in an attempt to persuade their club to sell the former Toulouse attacker, as he continues to struggle under manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Tottenham’s number 17 has made 32 appearances in all competitions since his move to north London, providing only four assists in that time.

It remains to be seen if the Frenchman will feature in Spurs’ side against London rivals West Ham on Friday night, as they look to keep the pressure on league leaders Chelsea.

In other Tottenham transfer news, this first-team star is furious with Pochettino while a Premier League 24-year-old has been lined up to replace him.
