Tottenham have been installed as joint favourites to sign Sevilla midfield enforcer Steven N’Zonzi, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
Bet Victor have priced the north London club alongside Juventus and Inter Milan at 4/1 to sign the 28-year-old before the September transfer deadline.
Italian giants AC Milan trail the trio at odds of 8/1, while Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund are sat at a price of 12/1.
N’Zonzi is currently plying his trade in La Liga with Sevilla, where the former France Under-21 international has been since departing England and Stoke in a £7million deal two years a go.
The combative midfielder boasts plenty of experience of the Premier League, having played 195 times in total in England’s top-flight for both Stoke and Blackburn.
He has since become one of the standout players in a successful Sevilla team, which won the Europa League against Liverpool in 2016 and with three years remaining on his contract he is likely to command a big fee if he is to leave the Spanish side this summer.
However, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino may also be looking to strengthen his central midfield this summer with Eric Dier playing in the back four last season, leaving just Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele to occupy the central midfield enforcer roles.
In other Tottenham transfer news, Spurs have talked about signing this Premier League veteran this summer.
