Tottenham do not expect winger Manor Solomon to play again this season, sources have told Football Insider.

The 24-year-old underwent minor knee surgery last week and has started his rehabilitation.

Solomon could be back in training before the end of the 2023-24 campaign, but after such a long lay-off it is believed the club's coaching team and backroom staff believe it would be difficult for him make a playing return before the campaign end.

The Israel international last played for Ange Postecoglou's side against Liverpool in September.

He injured his meniscus in training and underwent surgery in October to correct the problem.

Solomon had targeted a return in the new year but suffered a setback and has now required a second medical intervention.

The right-footed left winger joined Tottenham from Shakhtar Donetsk on a free transfer last summer (2023) and signed a deal running until June 2028.

He has played just 280 total minutes across the Premier League and League Cup and is yet to score his first Spurs goal.

Postecoglou's side moved to sign him after his impressive loan spell at Fulham last term - during which he netted five goals in 24 appearances.

Solomon also underwent knee surgery during his time at Craven Cottage, missing 17 games of the 2022-23 campaign.

Tottenham moved to sign Germany international Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig in January and have played him on the left flank in Solomon's absence.
