Omar Marmoush has struggled to make the desired impact during his early days as a loanee at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 27-year-old is yet to register a goal contribution in his opening five games, becoming a frustrated figure at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He isn't being helped in the slightest by Roberto De Zerbi, who doesn't appear sure where best to play him in the final third either.

During the defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup, he played as a lone centre-forward, whereas against Aston Villa, he played on the left wing.

However, with Dominic Solanke returning from injury and expected to start, the Egyptian international is unlikely to shift from his last position.

But he simply isn't effective on the wing, and playing him out there will weaken Spurs when they travel to Old Trafford on Saturday, 10 October.

Mathys Tel could destroy Man United

De Zerbi has a very talented player on his hands in North London, but he was left out of the squad to face Villa as a "technical decision".

That player would be 21-year-old Mathys Tel, who is fresh off his hat-trick for France Under-21s against Switzerland on Tuesday, 6 October.

The youngster has netted five goals in four games during the international break, but it would be fair to say that he's yet to explode at Spurs this season.

Constantly in and out of the lineup, Tel needs to be given the proper support and confidence that he can make the difference for the Lilywhites.

The clash with Manchester United will be the perfect opportunity for De Zerbi to prove himself as a man-manager, one who can make the tough decisions.

Who else should be dropped?

At right-back, De Zerbi has no other option but to change, with Pedro Porro sidelined through injury during the frustrating international break.

Micky van de Ven and Jan Paul van Hecke are both expected to return fit, but Andy Robertson could pose an issue at left-back.

The veteran started all four of Scotland's matches over the last three weeks, and at 32 years of age, he may need a rest at Old Trafford.

Mateus Fernandes is yet to prove himself in midfield, so he could be dropped for Conor Gallagher, and then there's Marmoush.
