Destiny Udogie exit doors may open at Tottenham after Ben Davies contract agreement
Tottenham Hotspur could potentially be ready to cash in on Destiny Udogie in the upcoming transfer window.
The Italy international has failed to convince fans of his qualities after an encouraging debut season with Spurs.
With fitness issues and inconsistent performances, fans in N17 wouldn't mind seeing the back of the 23-year-old in the summer as they hope for a squad overhaul.
It wouldn't be surprising to see Udogie end his stint at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after Ben Davies extended his contract at the club for another season.
Andy Robertson has been officially announced by the North London outfit as one of their new signings after the Scotland international's departure from Liverpool as a free agent.
Djed Spence and Souza are other players Roberto De Zerbi can deploy at left-back, and considering the options in the position, Udogie's departure may now be on the cards.
Ben Davies can overtake Jimmy Greaves at Tottenham
Davies will enter his 13th season with Tottenham after putting pen to paper on a new deal.
The 33-year-old has made 363 appearances in all competitions for Spurs since joining them for £10million from Swansea in 2014 and is now the longest-serving active player in the squad.
Davies can soon enter the top 20 list of players to make the most appearances for the North London outfit, with Aaron Lennon in 20th, having played 364 matches for them.
The Wales international could also potentially overtake the legendary Jimmy Greaves, who played 376 times for the Lilywhites during his illustrious career.
Roberto De Zerbi squad takes shape at Spurs
Sources told Football Insider in May that Savinho was keen to join Tottenham in the summer and work under De Zerbi.
Marcos Senesi is another player who has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs as a free agent after his impressive spell at Bournemouth, as the North London outfit look to build a competitive squad after barely avoiding relegation in the 2025-26 campaign.
The Lilywhites' requirement over the years has been underwhelming as they've found themselves in difficult positions in the English top flight over the last two seasons and it will be interesting to see how their squad will shape up going forward.
