Micky van de Ven appears set for a new bumper contract as the news of talks emerges at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that the talented Dutchman is likely to earn upwards of £200,000-a-week in his new deal.
The 25-year-old, despite his injury woes, has been a constant in North London since his arrival in 2023, even notching 10 goals in that time.
He is one of the players tipped to take the captain's armband under Roberto De Zerbi, with rumours of his impending exit now being squashed by contract talks.
It is understood that an agreement with the player has already been struck, following in the footsteps of Pedro Porro, who secured his future at Spurs earlier this summer.
Understandably, with the centre-back believed to be on £90,000-a-week, he will be set for quite a sudden pay rise, or so Borson believes.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson predicted Van de Ven to earning £200,000-a-week upon putting pen to paper on a new deal.
"It'd be doubled, I would think, but if he really is on £90,000-a-week, that feels a bit light," he said, when discussing the news breaking from Spurs.
"You've got to look at the total package. But he's a player that's going to be earning, package-wise, in excess of £200,000-a-week."
That would potentially see the Netherlands international become the Lilywhites' joint-top earner, alongside new signing Sandro Tonali.
Xavi Simons and Cristian Romero are both understood to be on £195,000-a-week, but with the latter expected to leave, finances are likely to be freed up.
Who else could Tottenham sign this summer?
De Zerbi doesn't appear to be done just yet, despite adding Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka to the squad.
Liverpool's Cody Gakpo is the name on the tip of many fans' tongues, but it's unclear whether the general consensus over a transfer is positive or negative.
There are many moving parts to De Zerbi's plans this summer. But one thing is for sure, and that is that the manager is not done just yet.
