Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison has reached out to international teammate Rodrygo on social media after the Real Madrid star received some devastating injury news.

Richarlison has battled injury problems of his own in recent years amid ongoing struggles to find a run of regular scoring form at Tottenham.

The Brazil striker featured just 24 times in all competitions for Spurs last season after respective hamstring and calf problems ruled him out for extended spells.

He also recently missed seven matches with a hamstring injury picked up in mid-January, and only made his return to action in Tottenham's 4-1 derby loss to Arsenal on 22 February.

Several key Tottenham players have suffered severe injuries over the last 18 months, and Richarlison has now sent a message to an international teammate of his who has met the same fate.

Richarlison dedicates Instagram post to Rodrygo after torn ACL bombshell

Real Madrid star Rodrygo has made his name as one of the brightest attacking talents in world football in the Spanish capital over the last six years in their first team.

He has won every major trophy on offer with Los Blancos, but is now facing up to eight months on the sidelines after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus.

The 25-year-old will now miss the rest of this season and the 2026 World Cup, where he was expected to link up with Richarlison in attack for Carlo Ancelotti's side.

Following news of the injury, Richarlison took to Instagram to dedicate a post to Rodrygo alongside the caption: "Boa recuperação, Rayo!! Fica forte e volta logo! Estamos contigo," which translates to: "Get well soon, Rayo!! Stay strong and come back soon! We're with you!"

Richarlison is one of numerous high-profile players who could leave Tottenham soon

Richarlison was linked with a move away from Tottenham last summer, with Everton and Orlando City both touted as potential destinations if he was to leave.

The Brazil striker remained in North London, though, and he has impressed more than most of their players this season, with nine goals and three assists in 33 appearances.

Sources have told Football Insider that Richarlison is considering his future at Spurs, alongside the likes of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

Relegation is a genuine possibility as it stands, and he will surely move on if the unthinkable happens and Tottenham are playing Championship football next season.
