Bradley Barcola is surely setting off alarm bells at Liverpool, one stat is damning
Liverpool progressed into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday thanks to a routine 3-1 victory over a struggling Tottenham Hotspur side.
It was a simple enough game for Andoni Iraola’s side, with plenty of Reds stars having a great game at Anfield.
However, despite the win, there were some concerning displays in the victory.
One of the most notable was that of Bradley Barcola, with the winger once again making no impact on the pitch.
The £123million summer signing came off the bench in the 72nd minute against Spurs and struggled to do anything of note.
As a result, the winger has now gone four games at Liverpool without picking up a goal contribution, and this is now surely causing concern at the club.

Despite being Liverpool’s star signing of the summer, Barcola is yet to show his true potential in Merseyside.
Against Spurs, he contributed nothing in attack and was just as poor defensively.
According to Fotmob, he only completed 57 per cent of his passes, had no shots, created zero chances, had one touch in the opposition’s box and won one out of five ground duels. Most alarmingly of all, he was dribbled past four times.
Even though Barcola was only on the pitch for 18 minutes, these are extremely concerning stats.
Now, Liverpool will surely be fearing that they have splashed the cash on another flop, with Barcola showing none of the quality he is meant to have to date.
As a result, alarm bells may already be going off at Anfield as the France international’s struggles continue.
Bradley Barcola needs a goal contribution vs Bournemouth
Going into the Bournemouth match, Iraola should still look to start Barcola.
A goal contribution against the Cherries would do the winger a world of good going into the three-week international break.
The match could also be the perfect opportunity for Barcola to achieve this given his limited minutes against Spurs and the fact that Bournemouth are set to play in the Europa League on Thursday.
However, it remains to be seen if Barcola will finally make a positive impact at Liverpool on the weekend.
