Tottenham Hotspur fans have already fallen head over heels for their new £85million signing Mateus Fernandes.

The Portuguese midfielder was a huge acquisition for the North Londoners earlier this summer, as they raided their close rivals West Ham to secure his signature.

The 22-year-old enjoyed a breakout season for the Irons last time out, and is already showing signs of becoming a fan favourite at his new club.

His display has sent Spurs fans into raptures, with many already believing that they have a future superstar on their hands.

One fan took to X to point out that the youngster is "going to change our lives," while another labelled him "everything" that the fanbase have "ever wanted."

Another supporter branded Fernandes' passing as "gorgeous," while another called it "unbelievable."

Fernandes' desire to play forward when he got the ball also caught the attention, with several supporters pointing out the drastic change from some of the club's previous midfielders.
