Tottenham's Martin Dubravka plan revealed after Antonin Kinsky struggles

Tottenham Hotspur have no intention of replacing Antonin Kinsky as their starting goalkeeper any time soon, sources have told Football Insider.

The Lilywhites have Martin Dubravka serving as the Czech's understudy, but a switch between the posts is "not in the thoughts" of Roberto De Zerbi right now.

The Italian has placed significant faith and trust in Kinsky so far, and is not prepared to axe him after just five Premier League games.

Dubravka is vastly experienced in the top flight at 37, and started 35 league games for Burnley last season, but sources say that there is no plan for him to take the number one spot at Spurs.

Instead, De Zerbi will continue to persist with Kinsky and hopes that he can develop into a top Premier League goalkeeper.

The 23-year-old already has two clean sheets so far this season, but has also endured a couple of shaky displays.

Tottenham's goalkeeping situation was always going to face a reset this summer, as the club quickly lost patience with Guglielmo Vicario last season.

The club ultimately decided that Kinsky had shown enough to earn the number one spot for this season, and as a result, they didn't attempt to bring a new face through the door to challenge him.

De Zerbi was a central part of that decision, and he is not prepared to backtrack on his judgement just yet.

Kinsky's save percentage of 60 per cent so far this season currently puts him among the bottom five Premier League goalkeepers.

His goals prevented tally is already at -1.73, which suggests that he should have conceded fewer goals than he has done so far this term.

However, De Zerbi still feels that he is the right fit for his team moving forward, and has no plans to replace him.

Tottenham line up January striker signing

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday that Tottenham are keen to sign a new striker in January who can come in and "hit the ground running."

The top of the pitch is the next area of priority for De Zerbi once the window opens again, with Dominic Solanke and Omar Marmoush his only direct striker options at the moment.

However, sources say that Tottenham intend to line up some exits from the senior squad in order to fund their planned move for a new striker.

They spent over £300million in the summer window, and while the money hasn't dried up, they are keen to balance their spending out this winter.
