Sources: Alfie Dorrington rejects move after Tottenham agree fee, he's now set to join different club
Tottenham Hotspur defender Alfie Dorrington has turned down a proposed move to Pogon Szczecin, sources have told Football Insider.
The Polish outfit had been confident of signing the 21-year-old following an agreement with Tottenham, but now look set to miss out, with a move elsewhere increasingly likely.
Dorrington is now expected to pursue a loan move to an English club, with a number of sides across the EFL interested after his spell at Salford City last season.
The centre-back started his campaign at Aberdeen, where he featured prominently in the Scottish Premiership and the Conference League, before switching to Salford.
However, he struggled for regular game-time in League Two and started just five games, but remains highly-regarded by rival clubs in the EFL.
With three years still to run on his contract at Tottenham, after penning an extension last year, he is not currently part of Roberto De Zerbi's plans and will be allowed to move on.

Dorrington remains highly regarded across the EFL, and while there has been some frustration from Tottenham fans due to his struggles on loan, he will be given another chance.
At 21, he has now built up experience across multiple divisions, having played in the Scottish Premiership, League Two, and having made one senior appearance for Spurs.
Dorrington was always highly-regarded when coming throug the ranks at Tottenham, and they are still keen for him to continue his development with regular game time.
Having decided to turn down a move to Poland in favour of remaining in English football, a number of clubs have now been placed on alert over his availability.
A move to another League Two side would be considered likely following his spell with Salford, but there are also sides higher up the divisions keeping tabs on his situation.
Which other Tottenham talents are being sent on loan?
Dorrington is not the only Tottenham academy product who is likely to leave the club on loan this summer, with plans in place for a number of their young stars.
Most notable among the names available for loan is Mikey Moore, who enjoyed a successful spell at Rangers last season and has now returned to North London.
Football Insider revealed on 16 July that Tottenham have rejected an offer from Ipswich Town for Moore, who were keen to bring him in ahead of their return to the Premier League.
However, Spurs are reluctant to send him to a side who they expect to be in a relegation battle, and would prefer he gain experience with a high-flying outfit.
Instead, he could complete another move away from the Premier League, with clubs in the Eredivisie and Bundesliga interested, while Rangers remain keen on a reuinion.
