World Cup sensation Folarin Balogun could soon seal a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur this summer transfer window.

The Monaco striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League after some highly impressive performances with the US national team.

The 25-year-old has netted three goals in the 2026 World Cup to date, including one against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the round of 32.

Now, one UK bookmaker has reduced the odds of Tottenham winning the race for Balogun down to 4/1.

Spurs struggled for goals last season, and only netted 48 times in the Premier League.

In comparison, Balogun was in fine form before the 2026 World Cup and netted 19 goals in all competitions for Monaco, with five coming in the Champions League.

Folarin Balogun could solve Tottenham's attacking woes

Spurs’ problems up top in the 2025-26 campaign were a big reason why the club was fighting for their survival.

Overall, Richarlison was the only player to hit double-figure goals in the Premier League as Tottenham only avoided relegation on the final day.

Since leaving Arsenal, Balogun has proven himself to be a shrewd attacker and has consistently found the back of the net in Ligue 1.

This is shown in his stats, with Fotmob on 6 July outlining that he averaged 0.52 goals, a 0.54 xG, 3.09 shots, 0.16 assists, 0.32 big chances created and 7.18 touches in the opposition box per 90 minutes in the French top-flight.

Therefore, if these stats can be replicated, he would be an excellent addition at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and could solve a massive issue for Roberto De Zerbi.

How much could Balogun cost this summer?

Football Insider exclusively revealed that Balogun could cost around £43million this summer transfer window.

Monaco are happy to let him go for this price tag, and the attacker is believed to be keen on a return to the Premier League.

Clubs such as Newcastle United have also been credited with interest, as they also look to solve their attacking woes.

However, the bookies have Borussia Dortmund as the favourites to seal the signing at 7/4, followed by Chelsea at 7/2.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen where Balogun will be playing his football in the 2026-27 campaign.
