Tottenham Hotspur are remaining “relaxed” over the growing interest in right-back Pedro Porro, sources have told Football Insider.

The Spain international has emerged as a clear target for both Real Madrid and Barcelona, who are keen to prise him away from North London.

Tottenham tied Porro down to a new long-term contract in the summer, and are also prepared to protect their asset with a “big price tag”, sources say.

Sources say that the North London outfit have no interest in potentially losing the 27-year-old during the middle of the campaign.

Roberto De Zerbi is understood to be “counting on” Porro moving forward, and views him as a key part of his long-term project at Spurs.

The former Sporting CP man is currently sidelined through injury, after being withdrawn early during the defeat to Aston Villa.

Pedro Porro to ‘seriously consider’ Tottenham exit

Porro has now been at Tottenham for almost four years, but the possibility of him departing the club in the near future is not off the table as far as he is concerned.

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday that the Spanish star would “seriously consider” a move to join either Real Madrid or Barcelona if they firmed up their interest.

The links with the La Liga duo are understood to have “flattered” the defender, who enjoyed an eye-catching World Cup campaign in the summer.

Porro made 47 appearances for Spurs in all competitions last term, and has established himself as one of the Premier League’s leading right-backs.

Tottenham have no desire to lose him any time soon, but it may be difficult for them to keep hold of Porro if he decides he wants to truly pursue a move back to his homeland.

Sources: Tottenham explore Williams-Barnett January loan deal

Tottenham explore Luca Williams-Barnett loan

Football Insider revealed last week that Tottenham will consider letting young attacking midfielder Luca Williams-Barnett head out on loan in January.

The 18-year-old was heavily involved in De Zerbi’s plans in pre-season, but has yet to feature in competitive action so far this term.

Sources say that a whole host of EFL clubs are ready to jump at the chance to sign Williams-Barnett on loan, with Spurs potentially prepared to open the door in January.

The Lilywhites view the starlet as one of their brightest prospects in recent years, and they need to find a way to get regular senior minutes for him.
