Paul Robinson would be "gutted" if Lucas Moura leaves Tottenham in the summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one heaped praise on the 29-year-old who is an "eight of 10 every week."

Moura's game time has been limited since the arrival of Dejan Kulusevski in the January window.

According to the Evening Standard's Dan Kilpatrick (5 May), Spurs are open to offers for Moura and his teammate Matt Doherty as they enter the twilight of their careers.

Both players have just over two years remaining on their contracts in north London.

When asked by Football Insider's Dylan Childs for his reaction to the news, Robinson said: "It doesn't surprise me that Doherty might go.

"There was a lot of expectation when he arrived but he has not lived up to it. He has improved under Conte but I'm still not convinced he's top level.

"I'd be gutted if Lucas Moura left though. You know what you are going to get every week from him. He is an eight out of 10 whether he starts or comes from the bench. I'd be very disappointed if he left.

"I'd understand if he wants to leave to play more regularly though. When you look at the three Spurs have got, it will be difficult to break into that.

"They'd have to sign a replacement if they let Lucas and [Steven] Bergwijn leave though."
