Tottenham insider issues bold Sessegnon claim after what he did to Alexander-Arnold
Ryan Sessegnon can go to “the next level” after turning in an impressive performance as Tottenham drew with Liverpool on Sunday (19 December).
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Sessegnon, 21, was handed his fifth Premier League start in a Tottenham shirt as his side drew 2-2 with Liverpool.
This was the defender’s fourth outing under Antonio Conte after previously struggling for game time at Spurs.
Wenham was delighted to see Sessegnon impress in his battle against Trent Alexander-Arnold.
“Sessegnon hasn’t started many league games since joining Tottenham,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I thought he did really, really well. He offered a threat on that left-hand side.
“He was up against Trent Alexander-Arnold and I thought he did well.
“He was always looking for the ball, which is promising, that’s what Conte will want to see.
“If we can get Sessegnon back to the form he had before he joined us, we will be laughing.
“He scored something like 16 goals from left wing-back in the Championship for Fulham.
“If we find that Sessegnon and also have Reguilon, we then have really good options there.
“We spent £30million on him and we are finally seeing him used in a useful way.
“That red card v Mura has been forgotten about.
“I think Sessegnon can kick on now and really hit that next level.”
In other news, an Insider has told Football Insider how Tottenham are working on a deal to sign “unbelievable” player in January.
