Tottenham are eyeing a swoop for Celtic sensation Moussa Dembele, according to a report.
The Telegraph claim the north London club are “keeping close tabs” on the prolific striker 12 months after he was close to a move to White Hart Lane.
Dembele underwent a medical at Tottenham only for the deal to collapse at the eleventh hour and for him to return to Fulham.
He subsequently joined Celtic on a free transfer last summer and has been a massive hit at the runaway Scottish league leaders, scoring crucial goals in Champions League and Old Firm matches.
West Ham have also been strongly linked with Dembele and the Daily Mail reported on Friday that they have held talks with Celtic this week about signing the France Under-21 international.
The Hammers are willing to pay £20million to land the striker but it is said that the Scottish giants are demanding £30million for him.
Dembele, 20, has been in prolific form for Celtic this season, scoring 19 goals in 36 matches in all competitions.
Football Insider verdict:
The secret is out. Demebele is destined to be a superstar. The striker who made his name at Fulham before ripping up the Scottish league is attracting covetous eyes from all over the globe. When Zinedine Zidane pauses to praise a player from another club to the hilt, you can be assured that he is going to cost a few quid. Celtic know they will do well to get more than a season out of the brilliant young striker but he has made an excellent impression in Scotland and demonstrated a big-match capacity that will hold him in great stead in the coming years.
In other Tottenham transfer news, Spurs have agreed a striker transfer and the player has been hailed as “brilliant” by his manager.
