Tottenham are in pole position to sign Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that scouts have been watching the 24-year-old closely for two years.

It is believed Spurs' talent-spotters have been very impressed with Gibbs-White's performances for struggling Forest.

The attacking midfielder has been identified as a fit for Tottenham's playing style and is versatile enough to play in multiple positions.

Sources have told Football Insider that scouts feel Gibbs-White is an "Ange Postecoglou player".

The Australian boss has implemented an exciting, fast-paced style since he arrived in the Premier League last summer (2023).

Gibbs-White has impressed in the 2023-24 campaign despite Forest's lowly league position, notching four goals and five assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.

He joined the Midlands club from Wolves for a reported fee of £42.5million including add-ons in 2022, signing a contract running until June 2027.

The Stafford-born ace has amassed 18 caps for England's Under-21 side but is yet to receive his first senior call-up.

Tottenham sit fifth in the Premier League table and are well-placed to return to the Champions League next term.

Meanwhile, Forest sit inside the bottom three following their devastating four-point deduction for breaching Profitability and Sustainability Rules.
