Report: Tottenham line up sensational double deal for English pair, £20m+ bid tabled
By Harry Sykes
Tottenham have lodged a £25million bid for Fulham sensation Ryan Sessegnon and his twin brother Steven, according to a report.
The Telegraph claim that Spurs’ sensational offer for the 17-year-old has been rejected by the Championship club.
It is said that Fulham are refusing to accept the departures of the teenage pair, who are products of their highly effective academy.
The Sessegnon brothers signed three-year contracts on May 18 when they turned 17, which was the earliest opportunity they could do so.
Ryan made a huge impact for the first team last season and is widely regarded as one of the outstanding young players in English football, while Steven made his senior bow in the League Cup earlier this month.

The report claims that Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal are also keen onleft-back Ryan, who is widely seen as becoming the next Gareth Bale thanks to his show-stopping displays on the flank in recent seasons both with Fulham and the England youth sides.
Sessegnon was also used as left midfielder as last season progressed and ended up scoring an impressive seven goals and supplying four assists in 30 appearances across all competitions.

It’s little wonder Spurs have turned their transfer guns on the Cottage. The Londoners were a whisker from signing Moussa Dembele last year – he even underwent a Tottenham medical – and now they are pushing hard to sign two more rising stars who have learned their trade at one of the best academies in England. Steven is progressing rapidly, but it is Ryan who is the Sessegnon that everyone is talking about. Named in the Championship team of the season for 2016-17, the word is he is destined for the very top. Amazingly, he has just turned 17. The player might be better served spending another year at Fulham, but it will be difficult for Fulham to turn down a higher bid for the pair.
In other Tottenham transfer news, the club are to finalise a £45million-valued signing today after terms agreed.
