Georges N’Koudou will be sold in the summer after Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly lost patience with the £9.5million summer signing, according to a report.
The Sun claim N’Koudou has failed to impress manager Pochettino since his move from Marseille at the start of the season, and the club are now willing to listen to offers for N’Koudou.
It is believed that only Ligue 1 outfit Nantes are interested in handing N’Koudou a career lifeline, but are not willing to pay anything more than £5million which will see Spurs make a substantial loss on the 22-year-old.
The former Marseille speed machine has made just 13 appearances for the north London outfit this season, making just two starts in all competitions.
N’Koudou has failed to oust the likes of Christian Eriksen, Moussa Sissoko and Dele Alli and will now be offloaded for the good of his career.
The six-time France Under-21 international currently has more than four years remaining on his White Hart Lane deal after a signing a five-year contract in the summer, but will now be allowed to leave.
Football Insider verdict:
The move to sell him permanently within 12 months of signing seems harsh on N’Koudou. The winger has been forced to watch from the sidelines with the form of both Eriksen and Alli almost forcing Pochettino to continue to start them over the likes of Sissoko and N’Koudou. With the Frenchman still likely to have plenty of development to make, sending him out on loan to a Championship side or a Premier League club in the lower depths of the table would seem more suitable, and could see N’Koudou find the form that saw him earn a move to north London in the first place.
