Tottenham to play pivotal role in job prospects of Premier League manager of bitter rivals - Guardian

Tottenham will play a pivotal role in the job prospects of West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, according to a report.
The Guardian claim Bilic’s future at the Hammers will be determined by how his Hammers side perform against Spurs and Liverpool in the final two home matches of the season.
It is said that the Tottenham game at London Stadium on Friday night is “pivotal” and Bilic could ensure the club end the season with optimism if he could oversee a good result against the club that West Ham fans most love to hate.
There might be little love lost between the fanbases of West Ham and Premier League leaders Chelsea but the supporters of the mid-table outfit would love to end Tottenham’s title hopes and, if they did, it would go a long way towards ending a disappointing season on an upbeat note.
The Guardian report that another bad home defeat, and poor display, would place Bilic’s position in jeopardy at the end of a campaign that has failed to live up to expectations.

West Ham have avoided being sucked into a relegation battle with some solid results in recent weeks and their haul of 39 points with three matches remaining means they will be in the Premier League next season.
But the Hammers hierarchy want more than top-flight survival and it appears that the stale performances of this season, in direct contrast to the excitement of Bilic’s first campaign, has become a growing problem for the hierarchy.
In other Tottenham transfer news, the club have sensationally terminated the contract of one of their defenders.
