Tottenham player ratings v Watford: Senior duo 9/10
COMMENT by Amir Mir
Football Insider rates the Tottenham players out of ten during their 4-1 win at Watford on Sunday afternoon.
Hugo Lloris 7 – The Frenchman is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and he proved that against Watford. He didn’t have many saves to make, but his arrogance, calmness and ability to pass the ball out from the back, makes him stand out from the rest.
Kieran Trippier 8 – The right-back replaced the suspended Kyle Walker and arguably produced a better display than the England international has done all season. His link up play with Kane was, in particular, impressive. His cross for Kane’s second was just magnificent.
Toby Alderweireld 7 – Solid display from the Belgian who didn’t have much to do upon his return to the starting XI. Will be disappointed, however, to concede right at the end.
Kevin Wimmer 7 – The Youngster was replacing the suspended Jan Vertonghen in the side, but they didn’t miss him as Wimmer produced a strong performance.

Danny Rose 7 – Played as a wing back and produced his typical workmanlike performance.
Eric Dier 7 – The versatile player was utilised in a back three and Dier showcased his many talents as he adapted to his role.
Victor Wanyama 7 – The summer signing has proven to be a top buy for the club as his powerful attributes links up well with the creative players in the team.
Christian Eriksen 7 – He would have liked to got on the scoresheet, but his ability to control the game, in particular away from home, is a difficult skill to possess.
Dele Alli 9 – The Watford backline could not handle his movement and his constant runs into the box. Alli possesses a brilliant skill in finding space inside the penalty area and that was rewarded with two well-taken goals.
Son Heung-Min 6 – The versatile attacker had a number of opportunities, in particular in the first half, to find the back of the net. But he failed to hit the target which resulted in him failing to add to his goal tally for the season.
Harry Kane 9 – The England striker is in scintillating form. He linked up well with Trippier and if he continues to produce the goods then Spurs will finish in the top four.
Harry Winks 6
Ben Davies 6
Vincent Jannsen 6
In other Tottenham news, Spurs and Liverpool are set to miss out on this 23-year-old attacker.
