Lloris tipped to join French club by pundit amid Tottenham goalkeeper report
Aaron Ramsdale would benefit from the opportunity to work alongside Hugo Lloris at Tottenham.
That is according to ex-Whites hitman Noel Whelan, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the Daily Mail reported on 10th June that Spurs are eyeing the Sheffield United goalkeeper.
The report claims that Wolves are also interested in the 23-year-old, who was among seven players on England’s standby list for the Euros.
He signed for the Blades last summer in an £18.5million switch from Bournemouth and penned a deal committing him to the club until 2024.
Lloris meanwhile has a year remaining on his Spurs deal and has been linked with quitting the club this summer.
However, Football Insider revealed on 17th May that the Frenchman is set to remain in North London next season and perhaps beyond.

But the skipper’s continued presence should not stand in the way of a move for Ramsdale, according to Whelan.
He told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: “We knew the situation with Hugo Lloris, we knew that he was coming to the end of his contract.
“We knew that he was going to see that through and then probably go back to France. So they need to start looking and putting things in place.
“Sometimes it takes a new player a season to bed in. A season of working alongside Lloris will be beneficial for Ramsdale.
“That’s one side of things they might actually get right this summer but they’ve still got to get that signing through the door.
“It’s a tempting prospect. Who wouldn’t want to play for Tottenham? This one is an easier signing because he’s coming from the Championship.
“He’s going to step into the shoes of Hugo Lloris but I doubt he’d be the number one straight away. But he’s a fantastic keeper and what a man to learn from.”
