Sources: Sevilla in advanced talks to re-sign Tottenham star Sergio Reguilon after deal agreed
Sevilla are in advanced talks to re-sign Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon, sources have told Football Insider.
The Spanish club are closing in on a deal for the left-back, 25, that would see him joining on a season-long loan.
Sevilla have held extensive talks with Spurs and Reguilon’s representatives about the deal and all parties are confident an agreement will soon be in place.
Tottenham are keen to offload Reguilon after he was deemed surplus to requirements by Antonio Conte.
The 2020 signing from Real Madrid was one of four senior players – along with Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Harry Winks – left out of the club’s pre-season tour of South Korea.
The unwanted four have all remained at the club’s Hotspur Way training base after the rest of the squad jetted out to Asia.

Reguilon has fallen further down the pecking order following the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.
Perisic will compete with Ryan Sessegnon for the left sided wing-back position in the new campaign.
Reguilon has been a regular starter at Tottenham during his two seasons at the club following his £27million transfer from Real Madrid.
The six-times Spain international has made 67 appearances in total, which included 22 Premier League starts in 2021-22.
He missed the final five matches of last season with a groin injury.
Reguilon previously played for Sevilla while on loan from Real Madrid in the 2019-20 season, winning the Europa League in his time there.
He will replace Ludwig Augustinsson, who has agreed to join Aston Villa on loan with a view to a permanent move in a deal announced on Monday.
