Yang Min-hyuk will be flown to England by Tottenham before Christmas ready to make an immediate impact in January, Daily Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath has reported.

Now, it is being reported that the teenager will travel to England in the week before Christmas, so he can prepare to make an impact for the club in the second-half of the season.

That comes amid a dip in form for Tottenham, who are without a win in three matches in all competitions.

Indeed, manager Ange Postecoglou is now under growing pressure from some supporters, with Spurs having dropped to tenth in the Premier League table.

Tottenham will need more Yang Min-hyuk this season

In some ways, this is a move that looks like a sensible one for Postecoglou's side to make when it comes to the young attacker.

Bringing him in for a period before he officially joins will give him the chance to settle in before he has to properly get to work.

That may help him to make a stronger start when he does officially get underway, although the idea they want him to make an immediate impact in the first-team may concern Tottenham fans.

Tottenham have been inconsistent under Ange Postecoglou this season

There is a huge gulf between the Premier League and the K-League which will make the transition a challenging one, especially for an 18-year-old with very little experience.

It could therefore be tough for Postecoglou to win the trophies he wants this season, if he is getting players that are not yet proven at this level, and being asked to use them in the first-team.

That is not the fault of Yang himself, who may develop into a big asset in years to come. But for the current campaign, Tottenham may have to show more ambition in January if they are to be successful.
