Pundit Exclusive: Amazon doc has all the clues to shock Tottenham axing
The clues for Dele Alli’s Tottenham axing lie in the Amazon ‘All Or Nothing’ documentary.
That is according to ex-Aston Villa star Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley about the England star’s shock slide down the Spurs pecking order.
Jose Mourinho’s side are second in the Premier League after eight matches of the campaign but Alli has been reduced from nailed-on starter to virtual spectator.
The 24-year-old has had only 66 minutes of league action this season and failed to even make the matchday 18 of six of Spurs’ last seven domestic fixtures.
His only action of late has come in the Europa League but he was an unused substitute last Thursday even though Mourinho fielded a weakened team.
Asked by Football Insider what has gone wrong so spectacularly for Alli at Tottenham, Agbonlahor said:

“It’s a strange one for me. I look at it, and after I watched the [Amazon] Spurs documentary, I feel like it’s the failure to work hard in training that Jose mentions. He’s a poor trainer?
“Is he not working hard enough for Jose? Or does Jose prefer three defensive midfielders in there, rather than a number 10 who is attacking.
“He’s a quality player and it’s just a shame to see a young English player not even make the bench now. It is sad to see because he’s done a lot for that club as well.”
Alli was linked with a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain towards the end of the transfer window last month.
He remains at Spurs but his future is likely to come under the microscope ahead of the January window.
