Tottenham star Hugo Lloris is closing in on Chelsea goalkeeping ace Thibaut Courtois at the top of the clean sheet stats after this weekend’s fixtures.
The north London club ran out convincing 4-0 victors over Watford on Saturday afternoon, adding another clean sheet to his record for the campaign.
Meanwhile, Courtois in the Blues goal lost his after conceding a goal against Josh King in Antonio Conte’s side ran out 3-1 winners against Bournemouth.
Both teams are competing in the league table with seven points currently between the pair with just seven matches left.
However, there is also a number of individual battles between players and after the two matches Courtois still tops the clean sheet stats with 13, but Lloris follows with just one left on 12.

It is worth noting that Lloris has played in four less games than Courtois, therefore reducing his chances of adding a clean sheet to his record.
Additionally, stand in keeper Michel Vorm has kept three shut outs in his five Premier League outings this season, meaning they could have added to the record of the French star’s this season.
The Tottenham back line has been highly impressive in recent years and one stat that they do currently top is the best goals against tally with just 22 goals conceded from their 31 league matches, two less than Manchester United in second.
In other Tottenham news, Graham Roberts believes this Spurs pairing is the best in the Premier League.
