Paul Robinson has claimed Tottenham striker Harry Kane was "running the risk" by leaving a leg in on Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes on Saturday.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said the 29-year-old's actions were "stupid" and born out of "frustration".

Tottenham's unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign came to an end at the Emirates on Saturday (1 October).

Emerson Royal was sent off for Spurs in the second half of the 3-1 loss.

Ten minutes later, as shown on Twitter (3 October), Kane nibbled at Gabriel after fouling him by the corner flag.

Referee Anthony Taylor did not adjudge the incident as worthy of a card.

When asked by Football Insider if Kane was lucky to escape punishment at the Emirates, Robinson said: "You cannot get away with anything now because there is cameras everywhere.

"There is cameras in every single stand that they have got. You do not see it much now because players know they are going to get caught.

"It was a daft niggly one from Kane. He was frustrated because they were losing the game. You could see the way the game was going.

"It was a stupid one. He is running the risk of VAR intervening.

"Look, he should not have done it even though there was not much in it. I'm glad the referee just got on with the game."
