Swansea City are working on a deal to sign Tottenham midfielder Harvey White, sources have told Football Insider.

White, 20, is highly regarded at Spurs and he was a regular in Antonio Conte's first-team squad in the second half of last season.

The former England Under-18 international has been involved in pre-season for Tottenham this summer but they have yet to make a decision on what to do with him ahead of the upcoming new season.

Swansea have registered their interest in a deal, and other EFL clubs are also monitoring White’s situation.

He signed a new deal in December 2020 and is contracted to Spurs until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

White made his Spurs debut in a 4-0 win over Ludogrets in the Europa League in November 2020.

His only other senior appearance for the Londoners came when he played the full 90 minutes in the 5-0 FA Cup Third Round win over Marine in October last year.

White played the final 15 minutes in Spurs' 6-3 win over a K League XI in South Korea last Wednesday (13 July).

The Kent-born youngster is capped by England at Under-18 level.

He spent the second half of the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Portsmouth where he scored once and registered one assist in 22 outings.

White is accomplished in both central and defensive midfield roles and has also operated at left-back.

He could become Swansea's fifth addition after the summer window.

Harry Darling, Joe Allen and Nathan Wood have all signed permanently, while Matthew Sorinola has joined on loan.
