Tottenham stars will be over the moon after Kane reveal via Romano - pundit
Noel Whelan has insisted Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici’s comments about Harry Kane’s future are “encouraging” for the club.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, conceded the 28-year-old talisman will want “more chances” in front of goal as he searches for his first Premier League strike of the season.
As quoted by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Paratici – speaking at the Festival dello Sport – insisted Kane “loves Tottenham” and said there was “no need for any new talk” about the striker.
The England star was the subject of intense interest from Premier League champions Manchester City during the summer window.
According to ESPN (September 17th), the striker was valued at £150million by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy in the summer.
Whelan claimed Tottenham fans and players will be “encouraged” by the Italian’s comments on “star player” Kane.

“I think it’s encouraging for Spurs fans,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“You don’t want to lose a star player like Harry Kane, there’s no doubt about it.
“He’s the talisman at the club, he’s been there so long now that he’s part of the roots at the club.
“Those comments will be music to the ears of Heung-min Son and everyone else at the club – you don’t want to lose that calibre of player.
“At the same time, Harry Kane will want more chances in games to keep him happy.
“He’s only happy when he’s scoring goals and winning football matches.”
Kane has failed to score in six Premier League appearances for Tottenham this season.
He netted 33 goals across 49 games for the north London club in all competitions last term.
