Kieran Maguire slams Levy for 'lack of ambition' amid '£186m' Tottenham reveal
Tottenham have a net spend of £186million over the past decade – and that lays bare Daniel Levy’s “lack of ambition”.
So says finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the results of a recent survey of Spurs fans.
The annual report carried out by the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust revealed that 94 per cent of fans are unhappy with the club’s direction.
A further 77 per cent are dissatisfied with ENIC’s long-term strategy for the North London side.
Lack of investment and the decision to join the ill-fated European Super League were cited by disillusiouned supporters.
And Maguire insists that the fans’ concerns about a lack of investment in the playing budget are warranted.

He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “Over the last decade, i.e the 2010s, they had gross player purchase costs of £686m.
“But by the time you take into account the sale of Gareth Bale and a fair few others, it works out as a net spend of £158m.
“So for a club of the magnitude of Spurs to be having a net spend of £15m per year proves the lack of ambition of Daniel Levy.
“It is very much a merry-go-round at Spurs because they are spending substantially but also you have to take into account the net spend.
“If they do sell Harry Kane this summer, that figure will be skewed even further.”
