Tottenham tipped to sign Christensen as Conte verdict on Chelsea star revealed - pundit
Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Andreas Christensen amid interest from Tottenham in the Chelsea defender.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one insisted a move would “have to be” on a free transfer as Chelsea and Spurs “do not do business.”
Christensen‘s contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of June.
Football Insider revealed (26 November) that Chelsea had made a breakthrough in negotiations over a new deal with the player.
However, an agreement is yet to be finalised with January around the corner.
According to the Daily Star (11 December), Tottenham would be interested in signing Christensen if he fails to agree fresh terms.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of the news, Robinson said: “It would have to be a free transfer because Chelsea and Spurs do not do business.
“Historically, they just do not do business so it would have to be on a free transfer in the summer.
“Christensen is a top, top player though. A top centre-half.
“When you look at his age and where he is at in his career. He probably needs a move and a fresh challenge.
“I’m not sure how it would work going from Chelsea to Tottenham. I’m sure he is a strong enough player and a strong enough character to get the fans on side very quickly though.”
Antonio Conte knows Christensen well from his time at Chelsea between 2016 and 2018.
Speaking to Sky Sports in February 2018, Conte said: “Christensen is having a fantastic season and he’s showing great maturity. His performance was wonderful.”
