Danny Mills has claimed he can see Ryan Fraser signing for Tottenham this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former England defender suggested that the Bournemouth wide forward has “all the potential” to be a top class signing for Spurs.
The Cherries announced yesterday the 26-year-old has declined a short term deal until the end of the season and will now leave when his contract expires at the end of June.
As revealed by Football Insider, there is some belief on the south coast that the wide man may have already agreed personal terms with a Premier League club, potentially Spurs, ahead of a potential switch.
And Mills believes that would be a beneficial move for Jose Mourinho’s men.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “I think he [Fraser] could make an impact.
“I think he has all the potential, and I think he would learn an awful lot at Tottenham with better players. I still think Mourinho is an exceptional coach.
“Fraser has great fitness levels, great energy, and he’s got a lot of technical ability as well. If you put that into a team where the players of a higher calibre, where he’s possibly going to get more of the ball more often, I think that would make him a better player.
“If you’ve got ability and you are willing to work your socks off, then you have a chance without a doubt. I can see that move happening.”
Fraser has endured a tough season on the south coast, and has registered just one goal and four assists across 32 appearances in all competitions.
By comparison, the pacy winger registered eight goals and 15 assists for the Cherries last term.
