Tottenham told to accept £13m Emerson Royal offer by expert
Tottenham could sell Emerson Royal at a 50% loss this summer.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Royal, 23, started but failed to impress Wenham as Tottenham beat Leicester 3-1 on Sunday (1 May).
On 31 August, this site revealed Spurs had agreed a £25.7million fee with Barcelona for the right-back.
His contract runs until 2026 but Wenham would not be surprised to see him leave for half of that £25.7million fee after just one season with the club.
“Emerson lost possession a number of times yesterday and I do not see a long-term future for him,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“It would best to cash-in on him early doors this summer. Even if we got half of what of what we paid for him I would take it.
“Just mark it down as a dreadful signing that hasn’t worked out for us. I feel like I say the same thing every week.
“Thew full-backs, Royal chief among them, are not good enough for where this team wants to be.
“Especially if Conte stays, he can’t do the job that will be asked of him.”
Royal has made 27 appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring one goal and chipping in with one assist.
He had lost his place in the side to Matt Doherty before he picked up a season-ending injury earlier in April.
