Tottenham told to 'get rid' of Lucas Moura as three big names tipped for sale - Agbonlahor

Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Tottenham to “press home their advantage” over Arsenal by sanctioning a number of “top-class” arrivals if they seal Champions League qualification.

The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed Lucas Moura, Harry Winks, and Emerson Royal could all be summer casualties as Antonio Conte looks to thrust Spurs into trophy contention.

Tottenham can confirm a top-four finish by beating Norwich on the final day (22 May) but a draw should be enough to finish above Arsenal – barring a 15-goal swing.

According to The Times (17 May), manager Conte will scoop a £2.5million bonus if he can qualify for the Champions League – and is expected to stay at the club next season.

The report claims the Italian is looking to add six new players during the summer window.

Agbonlahor claimed Spurs must clear the deadwood and bring in “top-class” talent during the off-season.

“Conte will be there next season – and they’ll be in the Champions League,” he told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley.

“They’ll batter Norwich about four or five-nil.

“Harry Kane and Conte will be so happy to have achieved this massive milestone. That’s the main thing which will keep them at the club.

“They can now attract a much better calibre of player. It’s a really good time for Spurs to press home their advantage. They can stay above Arsenal for a long, long time.

“They can go out and back Conte. They’re looking for top-class players in the market. They’ve got to be getting rid of the likes of Moura, Winks, Emerson Royal.

“Conte’s won’t be happy to just qualify for the Champions League every season.

He’ll want to win trophies.”
