Rodrigo Bentancur has been slammed for his reaction after being taken off as Tottenham fell to a 2-0 defeat to Man City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Bentancur (26) lashed out after he was subbed off by Ange Postecoglou, repeatedly kicking his seat and throwing a water bottle.

This was despite being on a yellow card, with a second yellow likely to cost Spurs the game, giving plenty of logic to the change.

Some fans also highlighted the poor example the midfielder was setting for young children watching the game.

His reaction was clearly a result of frustration given the result and his role in the game, but such a public overreaction was never going to go down well.

The majority of supporters slammed Bentancur for his reaction, labelling him "pathetic" and a "disgrace", with one calling for him to be sacked.
