Tottenham told to sign Ndombele replacement 'swiftly' after major development - pundit
Noel Whelan has urged Tottenham to sell Tanguy Ndombele this after he missed a pre-season game despite being fit to play.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Leeds United striker claimed the 24-year-old “is dispensable” and suggested he be replaced by a player who is “a better fit for the changing room”.
Ndombele was absent from the Spurs squad which beat Arsenal 1-0 on Sunday.
As quoted by The Athletic (August 9th), Nuno Espirito Santo revealed he omitted the centre-midfielder despite the face he is not injured.
It is reported that the centre-midfielder is now weighing up his options ahead of the transfer window shutting later this month.
The £55million signing has four years left on his contract in north London.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of the development, Whelan said: “They’ve had problems with Ndombele before.
“He has not been an easy player to deal with since he came into the club. Jose Mourinho found that out.
“I think Hojbjerg is a similar kind of player to Ndombele. Do you need both of them? Probably not. There is enough midfield players at Spurs.
“Ndombele has got better and better but I do not think he is indispensable.
“When players are not happy and do not fit into a culture or dressing room of players, the best thing to do is get them out and get as much money as possible for them.
“Get him out and bring in someone else swiftly, a player who is a better fit for the changing room. You cannot have disgruntled players because it will spread.”
