Victor Wanyama is in a race against time to be fit for Tottenham’s Premier League clash against Swansea on Wednesday.
Spurs’ official Twitter account delivered an update on the midfield anchorman and his injured teammate Harry Winks on Monday afternoon.
It reported that Wanyama is being assessed by the club’s medical staff to determine whether he will be available for the clash at the Liberty Stadium.

But Wanyama’s colleague Winks has been ruled out of the trip to Wales after sustaining what appeared to be a serious ankle injury in Saturday’s 2-0 league win at Burnley.
Winks was stretchered off after falling badly and was subsequently rushed to hospital for assessments on what appeared to be ankle ligament damage.

Wanyama was also withdrawn in the first half at Turf Moor after suffering from a back problem.
The defensive midfielder has been an ever-present for Tottenham in the Premier League this season, starting all 29 of their league matches to date.
Spurs head to Swansea aiming to keep their title hopes alive. They are seven points adrift of league leaders Chelsea following the weekend matches.
