Tottenham plan to keep midfielder Yves Bissouma at the club into the 2024-25 campaign, sources have told Football Insider.

Spurs are planning a major overhaul of Ange Postecoglou's squad in the off-season after their implosion in recent weeks.

Postecoglou has publicly claimed he wants "drastic change" this summer, with sources saying "huge" changes are being planned to ensure the squad is capable of playing his high-octane brand of football.

It is believed Bissouma, who was one of Tottenham's top performers in the 4-2 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday (5 May), is set to survive the axe.

The Mali international has been a regular in the side this season, making 27 appearances in the Premier League.

25 of those outings have come as part of Postecoglou's starting lineup.

Bissouma set to be spared as 'drastic' Tottenham overhaul planned

He joined Spurs from Brighton in 2022 but struggled for regular game time under former boss Antonio Conte and suffered a broken ankle mid-way through the 2022-23 campaign.

Bissouma, who is among the Premier League's leading defensive midfielders for tackles won and pass success this season, is under contract until June 2026.

Tottenham are planning a radical overhaul of their midfield options in the off-season.

Football Insider revealed last month (1 April) that Spurs want between £20-25million for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer.

Tottenham

Postecoglou's side sit fifth in the Premier League table with games against Burnley, Manchester City and Sheffield United to come.

The Lilywhites are set to return to the Europa League in the 2024-25 campaign.
