Alex Scott and Max Aarons reacted to the latest transfer news coming out of Bournemouth ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Cherries have experienced an incredible season at the Vitality Stadium, and with remaining matches against Man City and Leicester City, a top-half table finish is still possible in the Premier League.

Andoni Iraola, who could sign a new contract with Bournemouth despite links with Tottenham, Football Insider understands, has taken the club to within touching distance of European football.

Antoine Semenyo, Milos Kerkez, and Justin Kluivert have all been standout stars on the south coast this season, but the manager is set to lose one of his stars as soon as the transfer window swings open.

Dean Huijsen signs for Real Madrid

Taking to Instagram (17 May), the official club account wrote: "We can confirm that Dean Huijsen will join Real Madrid at the end of the season, after the club activated his release clause."

Max Aarons, James Hill, and Alex Scott all liked the post, bidding farewell to their young teammate, who is set to join Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold at Real Madrid.

Huijsen has been an incredibly important part of the Cherries' success this season, even grabbing four goal contributions from the centre of defence, but his exit will be the least of the club's worries.

Football Insider understands that Bournemouth will hold out for bids up to £60million amid interest from Man United and Newcastle United, though those funds could kickstart a summer of spending.

The signing of Elie Junior Kroupi is extremely exciting for those at the Vitality Stadium, but with Huijsen now set to depart for La Liga, more signings will be needed ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Bill Foley will need to show plenty of support for Iraola during the summer transfer market, especially if the Spaniard continues to be linked with moves away to rival Premier League teams.

Any further exits would be huge blows for the Cherries after such a fantastic campaign in the Premier League, but that is just the reality of football, and the funds need to be used sensibly.
