Arsenal could look to agree a loan signing in the January transfer window following Bukayo Saka’s injury, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the London giants could potentially pursue a loan deal for PSG forward Randal Kolo Mouani, 26.

Saka, 23, is expected to be out for around eight weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in his side's 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace on 21 December.

O’Rourke admitted the England international’s injury is a “huge” blow for Arsenal after he’s been in fine form at the Emirates this season.

Mikel Arteta’s side are not expected to splash the cash on a permanent addition in January, but a loan signing remains a possibility to replace Saka.

Kolo Muani, whose contract with PSG doesn't expire until 2028, could now come into the north London club’s thinking after he’s been told he can leave the French capital.

Arsenal to save cash for big-money striker signing

Saka’s output will be difficult for Arsenal to replace after he’s scored nine goals and laid on 13 assists in 24 appearances this season.

Kolo Muani hasn’t been anywhere near as impactful for PSG, having scored just two goals and laid on one assist in 14 outings.

O’Rourke admitted Arsenal are unlikely to pursue a permanent deal for Muani or any other targets next month despite PSG’s willingness to let him leave the club.
